The closing track on the Monkees' debut album showcased Mickey Dolenz's and Davy Jones' spontaneous comedic talents. Over an ultra-simple blues pattern, the duo sings, reads, recites, and generally goofs around on this very loose novelty song. It's a funny end to an album and group that certainly wasn't supposed to be taken seriously, at least yet.

Some of the Boyce & Hart songs are top-notch ('Last Train to Clarksville', 'Let's Dance On'); others are disappointingly substandard (the forced merriment of 'Gonna Buy Me a Dog', on which Micky Dolenz and Davy Jones duet to painfully unfunny effect)/5(7).
